MellowTap Search Report Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Scope

This notice describes MellowTap Search Report, a private tool operated by the owner of mellowtap.com. It covers the reporting tool rather than all activity on the MellowTap website.

Data accessed and purpose

The tool reads Search Console data for https://mellowtap.com/: dates, page URLs, search queries, clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position. It uses this information to help the owner understand the website’s Google Search performance.

It also records report periods, run timestamps, processing status and error messages. It does not install tracking code on the website or directly collect player activity.

Google permissions

Google’s Search Console read-only permission covers properties accessible to the authorized account. The current code requests only the fixed https://mellowtap.com/ property.

The tool also requests permission to read and write its bound spreadsheet and make external requests. Its current external requests go to Google’s Search Console API.

Storage and access

Reports are stored in the owner’s private Google Sheet. Each successful refresh replaces the current reporting snapshot. The tool also stores identifiers for the report tabs in Google Apps Script.

Google may retain spreadsheet version history and service logs under its policies. Replacing a report does not necessarily remove those copies.

The script uses a Google-managed authorization token when requesting data. It does not deliberately save that token in the spreadsheet.

AI-assisted analysis

With the owner’s authorization, an OpenAI assistant can access the report through the owner’s connected Google Drive account to summarize findings and assist with search-performance analysis. This makes relevant report content available to OpenAI. Findings or summaries may remain in conversation history or retained analysis.

Google and OpenAI handle data under their applicable policies and account settings. This notice does not establish a separate retention period or model-training guarantee for those services. See Google’s Privacy Policy and OpenAI’s Privacy Policy.

Controls and deletion

The owner can revoke this tool’s Google access through Google Account settings. Any scheduled Apps Script triggers must be removed separately to stop scheduled runs.

The owner can delete the report spreadsheet and Apps Script project. Copies in version history, backups, service logs or the connected assistant are subject to the respective service’s controls and retention practices. Revoking this tool’s access does not by itself delete existing copies or disconnect the assistant.

Changes

This notice will be updated if the tool’s data practices change. Any new use requiring authorization will be explained before it begins.
