Follow the arrows

  1. Make one numbered chain. Start at 1 and finish at the largest number. Use every square exactly once. Outlined numbers are fixed clues and cannot change.
  2. Follow the source arrow. The next square can be any distance in that direction. Links may jump over other squares, go diagonally and cross other links. Crossing is allowed and does not join the lines.
  3. Tap, then tap. Tap a whole square to select a source. Available destinations show a +. Tap one to add the link. That destination becomes your next source. Tap the selected square again to deselect. Tapping a different square without a + only selects it; no link is made.
  4. One link in, one link out. Except 1 has no incoming link and the finish has no outgoing link. To replace a link, select its cell and use Unlink in or Unlink out. Undo restores the previous edit.
1 →· + 2

The arrow from 1 may jump to the third square. It need not stop at the middle square. The middle square must still be used elsewhere in the chain.

A + is not a hint or a proven answer. It means that link fits the arrow and the connections and fixed numbers placed so far. A locally allowed choice may lead to a dead end. This interface does not solve ahead.

Read your chains without a tangle. Numbers appear when your links connect to a fixed number. Otherwise labels such as A1, A2 show order in a separate chain. Only the selected chain’s links are drawn. Labels and + marks work without color.

Keyboard: Tab to the board; arrow keys move focus. Enter / Space selects a source or destination. Delete / Backspace unlinks out of the focused cell; Shift + Delete / Backspace unlinks into it. U undoes. Escape clears selection. Home / End move within a row.

The last 128 edits are kept for Undo. Best counts successful link / unlink edits and Undo. Restart clears this attempt but retains previous completion. “Completed before” is separate history, never proof that the current links solve the board. There is no timer.

Signpost keeps the same isolated browser-local database as its 24-board pilot. Those saved puzzles remain available. Other games’ saves are not read, changed or migrated. Saving failures are visible. Tab-only play never reconnects or copies temporary progress back. Refresh or close can lose pending edits; browser warnings and crash durability are not guaranteed.
