How to play Block Garden
Make room on an 8 × 8 board by fitting block shapes and clearing complete lines. Each turn is a choice about the space you leave for the next piece.
- Place a whole shape inside the board without overlapping filled cells. Blocks do not rotate.
- A full row or column clears. Earn one point per placed square and ten points per completed line.
- Use all three offered blocks to receive three more. The round ends when none of the remaining blocks fits.
Controls
- Select a block, tap a board cell to preview its top-left corner, then tap Place block to confirm. You can also drag a block to the board and release to place it.
- With the board focused, use arrow keys to preview and Enter or Space to place. Home and End move to the ends of the row; Tab leaves the board.
- Hint shows a legal placement, not an optimal-score recommendation. Undo lets you reconsider a choice, including after the round ends.
Block Garden is a score game rather than a level-clear game. Its best score is saved in this browser when storage is available. There is no timed falling-block mode or rotation control.
Progress is saved in this browser on this site when storage is available. Clearing site data can remove it. There is no cross-device sync, and internet access is needed to load the game.
Frequently asked questions
Can I rotate the blocks?
No. Each block keeps its shown orientation. Try another position or another offered block if it does not fit.
When do I get new blocks?
Place all three offered blocks to receive a fresh set of three. Using just one or two does not refill the tray.
What if no blocks fit?
The round ends when none of the remaining blocks has a legal placement. Use Undo to try a different choice, or play again. A Hint only finds a legal placement; it does not plan the highest-scoring game.
