How to play Word Search
Find the six listed English words in a 10 × 10 letter grid. Use the word list to look for a familiar beginning, ending or diagonal line.
- A word follows one straight horizontal, vertical or diagonal line. Words may run forwards or backwards.
- Find every listed word to finish. Words may share letters.
- Starter levels introduce across-and-down words, then diagonal and reverse directions.
Controls
- Drag from one end of a word to the other, or tap the two endpoints. Either endpoint order works.
- Tap a selected first letter again to cancel. Release a drag outside the board or press Escape to cancel it.
- Hint highlights the first letter of a word you have not found. Use Tab and Enter or Space for endpoint selection.
Six fixed levels introduce directions, then explore Night sky, Art studio and Railway journey themes. Every board keeps six words in a 10 × 10 grid. Free play chooses from the included English word sets and places them on a new board. This version does not offer custom word entry or daily shared puzzles.
Progress is saved in this browser on this site when storage is available. Clearing site data can remove it. There is no cross-device sync, and internet access is needed to load the game.
