How to play Odd One Out

Find the one tile that differs from every other tile. Ten untimed rounds begin with shapes, then move to arrow directions and ring gaps.

  1. Choose one tile per round. A correct first choice earns 1 point; an incorrect choice earns 0.
  2. After each choice, the answer is marked. Select Next round when you are ready.
  3. The grid grows from 3 by 3 to 4 by 4. Differences are in shape or direction, never only colour.
  4. Finish ten rounds for a score out of 10. Play a fresh set to try again.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a time limit?

No. Take as long as you like. Switching tabs or reloading does not cost points; a saved set resumes when browser storage is available.

Can I change my answer?

Each round records one choice, then shows the answer. You cannot retry that round for points, but you can play a fresh set after finishing.
